Today, in Cameroon, almost a quarter of people living with HIV are over 50 years old. But with age come new pathologies: hypertension, diabetes, cancer of the cervix, to which HIV-positive patients are more vulnerable than others.

They must therefore be given access to screening, treatment, a balanced diet and sporting activity. And this is where things get seriously complicated due to a lack of adequate resources and infrastructure, and today the situation is alarming: due to a lack of access to basic treatments, HIV survivors are dying of known and simple to treat chronic diseases. take charge.
