In a human scene inside the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, which hosted, on Friday evening, the Egyptian Super match between Al-Ahly and Pyramids, a blind fan appeared in a snapshot that did not take a few seconds, holding a “radio” in his hands, and following through him the course of the match’s events.

The shot, which appeared specifically in the seventy-ninth minute of the Egyptian Super Cup match, quickly ignited social networking sites and local media, immediately following the match between the two Egyptian teams ended, and despite Al-Ahly winning the championship, the fans considered it the most important image.

Human shot

In an exclusive interview with “Sky News Arabia”, Ahmed Ibrahim Hassan, the owner of the famous shot from the stands of Al-Ahly Club, says that he did not expect such a wide spread of his image from inside the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium, which doubled his happiness following Al-Ahly club crowned the championship.

He explains: “I graduated from the Faculty of Arts, Department of English Language, Mansoura University, and since then, I have worked as an imam in many Egyptian mosques, and moved between the governorates of the republic, especially in the blessed month of Ramadan every year.”

Hassan continues: “I am currently working as an imam of a mosque in the Emirates, and I moved to live here following I found a job opportunity in my field, and despite the long time it took me to get it, I succeeded in traveling recently with my wife and three children.”

Practical experience

The Egyptian imam points out the practical and religious experiences he gained over the past years, especially following his work as an imam, reciter and memorizer of the Holy Qur’an in Egypt, and his movement between the corridors of mosques and major religious institutions.

Hassan continues his interview with Sky News Arabia, referring to his participation in many religious competitions organized by the Emirates in the field of memorizing the Qur’an, whether at the local or international level, in which he won advanced positions and several awards.

He continues, “Citizens in the Emirates are very organized, and life here makes me feel very comfortable all the time, so I intend to complete my life and future with them, and to gain more religious and practical experiences.”

Entity love

As for his love and affiliation with the Egyptian club Al-Ahly, Hassan says that he used to encourage the red genie since he was no more than nine years old, stressing his continuous follow-up to all Al-Ahly club matches, whether by listening to them on the radio or television.

He adds, “There are many happy memories that I lived because of my support for Al-Ahly club, as it has the most influence on the psychological state of Egyptians, and we rarely grieve because of our support for it.”

And he explains that: “He did not attend only one match for his team throughout his life, and it was in 2010, between the Egyptian Al-Ahly and the Tunisian Esperance, in the African Champions League qualifiers, and from here his love for the mass atmosphere increased, and the next time, it was the Friday match that caused the publication of his picture.” through various social media platforms.

Wide acclaim

In the past hours, a number of celebrities and social media pages circulated a snapshot of the Egyptian imam Ahmed Ibrahim, while he was holding his radio to follow the Al-Ahly and Pyramids match, the most prominent of which was Al-Ahly club defender, Mohamed Abdel Moneim, who greeted him on his personal page on the “Instagram” website.

Al-Imam Al-Masry commented on this, stressing that: “The famous snapshot of him inside the stands was completely spontaneous, and he did not imagine the extent of its spread in such a wide way, especially following the Al-Ahly players commented on it, who had a relationship of knowledge with each other.”

Al-Imam Al-Masry concludes: “When the Al-Ahly club’s staff used to come to Dubai to participate in various competitions, I would quickly go to their camps, to meet the team that I have always loved and encouraged since childhood, and to support them before playing important matches.”
