The Egyptian Mohamed Salah led his team, Liverpool, to a difficult victory over his guest Brentford 1-0 during the match that brought them together on Saturday in the thirty-fifth round of the English Premier League.
Salah scored the only goal of the match in the 13th minute, raising his goal tally this season to 30 goals in all tournaments.
With this goal, Salah became the eighth player to score 100 goals for Liverpool at Anfield, and he also became the first player in the club’s history to score in nine consecutive matches in all tournaments at Anfield.
This goal was also Salah’s 186th with Liverpool, making him the club’s fifth all-time leading scorer, jointly with Stephen Gerrard.
With this victory, Liverpool raised its score to 62 points in fifth place, a point behind Manchester United, who face West Ham on Sunday, while Brentford’s balance stopped at 50 points in ninth place.
This victory became the sixth in a row for Liverpool in the league, while this loss became the first for Brentford following a draw in a match and a win in two matches.
