Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi considered that the return of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia would change the equations in the region, which “today the facts have become clear to many of its countries.”
Raisi said in an exclusive interview with “SANA” agency and “Al-Suriya” channel, “Iran and Saudi Arabia are two great countries, and the return of relations between them will change the equations in the region and organize them. And between Saudi Arabia, His Eminence, the Leader of the Revolution, always stressed that it should not be forgotten that the main enemy is the United States and Israel.
He added, “We reject and do not accept that Saudi Arabia is considered our enemy, or we will ever be an enemy to it. Today, the facts have become clear to many countries in the region, and the Iran phobia that the American and Israeli aggression was talking regarding was only to spread terror in the region. This is the enemy’s evil media machine.” .
Raisi pointed out that “just as Syria was able to confront the takfiri groups presented by the Western media as demanding truth and freedom, we were able to expose their media falsehood regarding Iran,” explaining that “some countries were cooperating and dealing with these organizations and with ISIS, and they were supporting them and supplying them with weapons.” But now they realize that they were completely wrong.”
Earlier this week, Raisi paid a two-day visit to Syria, which he described as a turning point in the development of relations between the two countries.
And Saudi Arabia and Iran announced in March that they had reached an agreement on resuming diplomatic relations and reopening the embassies and representations of the two countries within a maximum of two months, in a move that was widely welcomed by the Arab and international community.
