In the most recent event, a general services worker at a hotel found the body of a man who had not been right since Sunday, April 30, 2023, when he arrived at the place where he was staying.
He Argentine tourist, native of Misiones he was found dead in the room he was staying in. According to the information that came out in the national media, the man had stab wounds to his neck and forearms.
Likewise, the knife with which the Argentine would have been murdered was found at the site, as well as hallucinogenic substances and some belongings from abroad.
Apparently, at first it was said that the subject, identified as Oscar Daniel Marecos 31 years old, had entered the room alone. However, due to the evidence collected by the personnel in charge of the survey and investigation, information is sought to establish if someone else entered the site.
The authorities are apparently looking at the videos from the security cameras of the hotel and the El Poblado sector, to establish if the subject entered the place of his death accompanied, or indeed entered alone and then the murderers arrived.
It is noteworthy that the missionary Óscar Marecos had been staying at the El Poblado hotel since April 27, 2023. According to local media, the site was rented through an application to find accommodation and the departure from the place was scheduled for Monday, May 1.
