Actor Jeff Bridges shared his opinion regarding the possible continuation of the comedy The Big Lebowski. According to him, he will agree to participate in the filming only with the participation of both directors, the Coen brothers.
“If the brothers will participate, I will definitely agree. These brothers, they are mysterious and full of surprises. You never know their plans, so if they like to surprise, I don’t think they’ll make a sequel. But, like I said, what if they manage to surprise me and make a sequel, ”Bridges said in an interview with People.
The original The Big Lebowski was released in 1998 and was regarding the slacker and bowler Jeffrey Lebowski, nicknamed “The Dude”. The hero is mistakenly mistaken for a millionaire, which sets off a chain of unforeseen and comical situations. The film also stars John Goodman, Julianne Moore, Steve Buscemi, Philip Seymour Hoffman and others.
Since 2021, Ethan and Joel Coen have decided to make films separately: Joel released The Tragedy of Macbeth with Denzel Washington, Ethan worked on the solo project Pretty Women on the Run (released in September 2023). Bridges recently beat cancer and starred in The Old Man.
