A newborn baby was abandoned this wednesday on a sidewalk from the La Teja neighborhood, in the Buenos Aires district of Merlo. The crying of the little girl, who was naked and only covered with a blanket, alerted a neighbor, who ended up rescuing her.
The story came out following a request for collaboration on social networks, in which clothes were requested for the baby found in the middle of a public road.
“She was all dirty, she was trembling with cold. My cousin, who was a mother two weeks ago, she breastfed her, cleaned her and put a diaper on her”, pointed out one of the witnesses of the situation in dialogue with the TN signal.
In that interview, the woman specified that the little girl, barely a few hours old, was seen on the sidewalk a few minutes before 6:00 p.m. when their intense criesthey alerted the neighbors and people passing through the area.
After the neighbor’s first assistance, personnel from the Buenos Aires Police appeared at the scene and transferred the baby to the Eva Perón Hospitalwhere studies will be carried out to evaluate his fragile state of health.
Regarding the mother of the newborn, following being located, she was sent to the Héroes de Malvinas Hospital and there she was delayed, according to judicial sources, for the crime of “attempted homicide”.
