UN says 25.8 crore people in fifty-eight countries do not have food security. Last year’s figures were released by a coalition of human rights organizations commissioned by the UN and the European Union. The report also shows that people are dying of starvation in Somalia, Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Haiti, Nigeria, South Sudan and Yemen. The report also states that the number of people suffering from extreme hunger and needing emergency aid has increased for the fourth year.
