Gabriel López, a former member of the barra brava at the University of Chilereferred to the acts of violence that have occurred in recent soccer matches and stressed the need to implement dialogue between all the actors involved.

Let’s remember that the Clásico Universitario between the Universidad Católica and the U. de Chile, which was going to be played last Sunday, had to be suspended following different excesses inside the Ester Roa Rebolledo Stadium, in Concepción.

López, who is a real estate broker, investor and influencer, is reintegrated into society following serving a sentence in prison.

This former barista decided to undertake a more social role and currently works with people who are deprived of their liberty, including minors.

In an interview conducted by Tomás Mosciatti on Bio BIo TV, this businessman talked regarding the barras bravas and the Seguro Stadium.

“When the region bar arrives, one does a job of months to receive it. There are people who have professional licenses to handle artifices, but if Azul Azul does not sit down to talk, the leadership, Estadio Seguro, with the baristas will not solve anything, ”López stressed.

Likewise, the influencer said that “they do not get anything out of eradicating the bars, by wanting to extinguish them with more violence, because they are still violent and let’s not throw away that they are all criminals, since there are engineers, architects, lawyers, with their profession and good family ”.

In relation to what happened in the Clásico Universitario, he pointed out that “there was anger, the entire south came together to make a very good start, we are talking regarding several million pesos spent. They have to sit at a table to talk with the bars so that there is an organization (…) and if we are going to have a spokesperson, we are not going to fire a criminal, but rather people who know how to speak reasonably”.

“The solution is that things let us into the stadium, that they don’t oppress us, that they have a party because that is the heart of the bars, the teams are nothing without their fans. The government, the State, will not understand the passion of a fan for his team. The barras bravas will not be able to be eradicated, it has not been done anymore and what you have to do is sit down and talk“Gabriel sentenced.

Social reinsertion in Chile and the opportunities that exist

“There are several factors, one of the fundamental ones is what is taught at home and the other in schools for education. Also the environment, the population where you grow up, what you see and the children see people who deal in the corner or who steal. I left out of ambition when I was 14 years old,” López said regarding crime in Chile.

He also commented that “one is very self-centered in that world, he likes to pretend a lot, boast a lot regarding who he is. This is how you get involved in a world of underworld and crime where you want to be better than the other and have more. You grow up in another area, so you don’t know the sentences or what you’re getting into, you go and live your life.

“In that world there are no friends and they are companions until they betray you, now you can see organized gangs. I remain focused on my goals, which are real estate investment, being an entrepreneur, continuing to increase my wealth and social network. Help people who are deprived of liberty, go to children’s homes and give talks in schools so that children do not experience what I experienced, because it is a hard world, ”he remarked.

To this he added that: “I now try to contribute a small grain of sand in this society and to tell and give advice one has to have lived and been there. And now I serve as an example, because I have inspired many of my friends who were involved in bad things. I help a financial culture, I dared to do things, change my life and break the arm of destiny”.

“Society closes its doors and windows”

Regarding his time in prison and his release from prison, López pointed out that “it was a more or less hard life, I matured, at first I behaved badly the first few years, then in the last year I began to look for behavior modules and try to go out into the street. . I inspire hundreds of people to change their lives, that’s why I’m an influencer, I don’t have millions of followers but people are interested in my niche”.

Regarding social reinsertion, the ex-barrista assured that “society closes its doors and windows to them. There is a complaint once morest the State regarding why the Government, the one that is on duty, when a prisoner is released does not have a reinsertion, because the doors are closed a lot. They are good at complaining regarding crime and do nothing to fix it.”
