Neuer does strength training, stabilization exercises and runs on the “Alter G”, an anti-gravity treadmill that can be used to reduce body weight. You can also see how the goalkeeper plays balls with his once broken right leg, catches them lying down – and even makes parades!

Noticeable: Neuer’s right leg already looks almost as muscular as the left. This shows how hard the goalkeeper has worked for the comeback in recent months and how far he has come with rehab.

New: “I’m fine. I’m happy to come to Säbener Straße every day and train there. The rehabilitation is going very well, we are satisfied. The last pictures were good too. It’s fun to take a step forward every day. We are all optimistic.”

It was already clear beforehand that the keeper was already training with the ball – now the fans are getting their first impressions of it!

Hidden message on Bayern-PK? Why this Tuchel praise is dangerous for Müller

Almost three weeks ago, trainer Thomas Tuchel (49) said: “At the moment it’s a great pleasure to watch Manu in rehab because it’s progressing every day. Yesterday I heard a noise near my coach’s office, that’s when he was doing his first goalkeeper exercises with balls in the rehabilitation area. He saved the first balls there, which immediately gave me a good feeling to see him doing it.”

Neuer himself says regarding the current rehabilitation status: “The goalkeeper-specific exercises that we do indoors work very well. I can already ride my bike once more without any problems and can also do most of the strength exercises. In addition, I am currently on the Alter-G.”

According to the Bayern message, Neuer is optimistic that he will “soon start individual exercises on the pitch” if the rehab continues to go according to plan. That would be the national goalkeeper’s return to the new Bundesliga season one step closer.

His comeback plan according to BILD information: Neuer wants to be at 100 percent in preparation for the new season and make it clear immediately that he is number 1 in Bayern once more.
