Firmware updates for all models of AirPods (with the exception of the first generation), as well as two models of headphones Beats and the charger MagSafe.
The second and third generation AirPods, the first and second generation Pros, and the AirPods Max are being updated to the build firmware version 5E135
(Before, they were in the 5E133
). There are no specific notes on what is being improved with the update, but there is a support page with release notes for those updates — which has not yet been updated.
Also receiving firmware updates Beats Fit Pro and the Powerbeats Pro. The new version is the compilation 5B66
while the former was 5B55
. There is also no exact information regarding the new features included in the update.
Another accessory being updated today is the magsafe chargerfor compilation 10M3761
(Before, he was in 10M1821
). On iOS, however, the new version is displayed as 258.0.00, while the previous version was numbered 255.0.0. There are no details on what was modified with the update.
In all cases, there is no manual way to perform the update, you must pair/connect the device to the iPhone or another device and wait. One way to try to “force” the update is to put the smartphone/tablet to recharge and then start using the headphones.
To check the version installed on the headphones, you must necessarily have them connected to your iPhone, iPad or Mac, go to Settings and tap on the area referring to them that is highlighted right at the beginning of the screen, below your Apple ID information — or going in Settings » General » About and selecting the AirPods, Beats headphones or MagSafe charger option.
