According to a recent report by WESH 2, the Tourist Development Tax Sports Incentive Committee will apply for $850,000 from the Greater Orlando Sports Commission, which will be filed this Tuesday, May 2, so that the city of Orlando, Florida can host the Royal Rumble at the Camping World Stadium on January 27, 2024. This same stadium previously hosted WrestleMania 33 in 2017 and generated $181 million for the region.
Orange County officials estimate attendance for the event might reach 54,000 people and generate an economic impact of approximately $28 million for the region. The 2023 Royal Rumble was held in Sans Antonio, Texas and the event was a great success for the city.
