As reported: the second stage of the largest Hungarian bicycle race, the Tour de Hongrie, will start from Zalaegerszeg on Thursday, May 11, 2023, and will finish in Keszthely following covering 175 km. Between the start in Szentgotthárd and the final stage in Budapest, 879 kilometers, 7,554 meters of ascent, three sprint stages and two new mountain finishes await the international field in the 44th Hungarian Cycling Circuit, covering 8 counties in 5 competition days.
The field of the Tour de Hongrie starts from Zalaegerszeg at 12:30 p.m. and arrives in Keszthely, touching the Balatonfelvidék. The field starts from Batthyány Lajos utca in front of the Göcsej Museum, then leaves the city in the direction of Pózva along Kaszaházi út. The field starting with the lead car is approx. It leaves Zalaegerszeg at 12:45 p.m.

The organizers of the Tour de Hongrie request that the parking spaces be left free on the section between Batthyány Lajos utca, Kölcsey Ferenc utca, Október 6. tér (Plázáig) and Kis utca from the evening of Tuesday, May 9th until the evening of Thursday, May 11th. Anyone who does leave their vehicle behind will not be able to access it on race day (May 11). It will also not be possible to park in the Október 6. tér parking lots and the Galamb Street parking lot from Tuesday evening to Thursday evening.
The construction of the starting area in Batthyány Lajos utca in front of the museum will begin on Thursday morning at 8.30 am. From this time on, the section of Batthyány Lajos utca between Balatoni út and Október 6. tér, Kölcsey Ferenc utca, and Október 6. tér to Zala Plaza will be completely closed. At the start of the field, and for approximately 40 minutes, they must prepare for a complete road closure along the entire length of Batthyány Lajos utca and Kaszaházi út.
Demolition of the starting area will begin following the start of the field, it is expected that the full traffic order will be restored from 4:30 p.m.
