A 90-year-old man was hit by a scooter on Monday evening in the Rivière-des-Prairies area of Montreal.
The victim was probably trying to cross Perras Boulevard, at 42nd Avenue, when she was hit around 8:45 p.m., said Jeanne Drouin, spokesperson for the Montreal Police Service. (SPVM).
The nonagenarian suffered injuries to his upper body, but the severity of these was still unclear by mid-evening.
The driver of the scooter, for his part, suffered a nervous shock, but was not injured.
Investigators went to the scene to analyze the circumstances leading to the collision.
