If you are a supporter of Last.fm and I always wanted to synchronize the songs I listened to outside the digital environment, the AirScrobble is an application that will solve your problems. The tool was created by the Brazilian Thomas Martins and is available on the App Store.
AirScrobble is an app focused on making the task of discovering music in the real world and recording it in the virtual world as easy as possible. The tool integrates Shazam features with Last.fm and makes the “scrobble” discoveries in real time, whether at a concert or listening to the radio while traveling.
Right away, when opening the app, the user will see a big red button, which starts identifying songs. When a song is identified, it becomes the application’s main attraction, adapting the interface according to the song that has just been recognized, transferring this information to the associated Last.fm account.
AirScrobble uses native iOS features to give users a more complete experience, as is the case with Auto Match. The function allows the app to continue identifying and synchronizing music on Last.fm uninterruptedly, even when it is in the background or with the phone locked.
So that users know what is playing and if the “scrobble” is being done, the app uses the Live Activities function to display this information. iPhone 14 Pro Owners [Max] can also follow discoveries while using other applications, through the Dynamic Island (Dynamic Island).
At first hand, to MacMagazine, developer Tomás Martins revealed that the app will gain support for iPads soon. In addition, this update, which does not yet have a release date, will also include iCloud music history synchronization, allowing users to discover songs on the iPhone and revisit them on the iPad (and vice versa).
Free to download, AirScrobble is available on the App Store. Still, a subscription is required to unlock all of the app’s features; the values are from BRL 2/month or R$15/something. For those who prefer to pay once, the app costs R$100.
