Inaugurated almost 22 years ago, the Apple Store of Tysons Corner Center, in Virginia (United States), will change its location. The novelty, which had already been aired since 2019, was published yesterday on the shopping center’s social networks and confirmed by Maçã, which updated the store’s official page: “A new chapter is coming soon”, he wrote.

Already on the front of the store, Apple wrote a message to its customers:

The first Apple Store opened 22 years ago here in Tysons Corner. Soon, we look forward to welcoming you to this newly reimagined space. Thank you for being part of our history. Cheers to the next chapter.

For developer Michael Steeber, the opening of the new store will be “obviously significant”. This is because, according to him, “it is the first time that the first Apple Store has moved [de lugar].” He concludes by saying, “This opening will be so much more than that—believe me.”

Apple Tysons Corner opened on May 19, 2001, the same day as the Apple Glendale Galleria in California. According to MacRumorsat the time, Maçã announced that both stores had received around 8,000 people and sold almost US$600,000 in products in the first weekend alone.

In advance, the Tysons Corner Center website “let the tongue out” and revealed that the new store will be on the top floor “between Nespresso and Victoria’s Secret”. In contrast, Apple has not announced the date it intends to open the new location; Meanwhile, the classic store remains open.
