The French Days, what is it?
Faced with the enthusiasm aroused by Black Friday, a period of unmissable promotions across the Atlantic which has been replicated in France, six merchants have decided to create their own event dedicated to French customers. In 2018, the online brands of Fnac-Darty, Boulanger, Cdiscount, Rue du Commerce, La Redoute, and Showroomprivé embarked on an operation aimed at supporting purchasing power. Other brands have since joined the movement, such as RED by SFR or GrosBill, for example.
These days thus take place twice a year, generally at the start of the school year and in the spring, and are an opportunity for customers to do good business on high-tech products as well as equipment for the home.
When are the French Days?
In 2023, the first edition of the French Days takes place in early spring. Sales will start on May 3 at 7:00 a.m. and end on May 9 at 11:59 p.m. That’s seven days of promotions and discounts. This is the first time that the French Days have lasted an entire week, a necessary bonus for French people who are increasingly concerned regarding their purchasing power.
A second edition will take place in September 2023, but the dates are not yet known.
Which merchants participate in the French Days?
Not surprisingly, many e-commerce brands participate in the French Days.
