2023-05-01 13:51:08

The rumor has been circulating extensively for two weeks, and now it’s confirmed: the group Aerosmith will play at the Bell Center in Montreal on January 26, 2024.

This will be the very last date of the band’s very last North American tour. This will therefore be the last chance to see Steven Tyler and his pals perform in North America, for life. Montreal and Toronto will be the only two Canadian cities on the itinerary. The concert in Toronto will be the 4th of the tour, however, since Aerosmith will play there on September 12, at the Scotiabank Arena.

The tour is called Peace Outand indeed represents a farewell tour for the famous group which has a career spanning nearly 50 years, and has released fifteen albums, including the most recent, Music From Another Dimensiondates back to the fall of 2012.

The group The Black Crowes will provide the first part. They themselves haven’t come to Montreal since 2008.

Aerosmith, they had not come to Montreal since 2006, but had still played in Laval as well as at the Festival d’été de Québec in the summer of 2012.

Vocalist Steven Tyler, bassist Tom Hamilton and guitarist Joe Perry have been there since the beginning, faithful to the post. Second guitarist Brad Whitford, who replaced original member Ray Tabano in 1971, is also still on board. As for him, founding member and drummer Joey Kramer apparently hasn’t followed the band on tour since 2020, being replaced on the road by John Douglas.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 5 at 10 a.m. this way.
