Petersburg SKA and striker Nikita Gusev agreed to terminate the contract by mutual agreement of the parties, reported on the website of the KHL club.
Gusev played for SKA in 2015-2019 and 2021-2023, won the Gagarin Cup with the club and became the champion of Russia in 2017. Also in SKA, the forward twice won the Continental Cup in 2018 and 2023 and became the bronze medalist of the Russian championship five times.
Gusev is the top scorer in the history of SKA. In 369 games for the army team, he scored 430 (149 goals + 281 assists) points.

Gusev is the champion of the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang and the silver medalist of the 2022 Games in Beijing, a two-time bronze medalist of the world championships. In Pyeongchang, Gusev became the top scorer of the Russian national team, scoring four goals and giving eight assists.
SKA lost in the semi-finals of the Gagarin Cup in six matches to CSKA Moscow.
