La Macarena became a great hall for eight hours where 12,000 lovers of romantic music sang at the top of their lungs several of The great classics of the 80s and 90s. It was an encounter with old music, with nostalgia.

Then the turn was for the 80-year-old Venezuelan, Rudy Márquez. The lights in the stands dimmed, everything dimmer, more intimate. The lights only pointed at “El Rey”, as he is known. “You can’t deny it”, “I swear on my life” and “The night of your wedding” were the first songs that were heard.

At 8:30 pm the trombones sounded and the audience rose to their feet to chant “Memories”. For the end he left “You, Ana María” with which the attendees vibrated much higher. A roller coaster of emotions was what Rudy Márquez achieved.
The third artist to leave was the Cuban María Conchita Alonso. Wearing a gold sequined suit (jacket and pants), the artist met the audience in Medellín, to whom she repeatedly told them that she had not been able to do a sound check before the presentation. While images reminiscent of his artistic career were filmed on the screens, “Night of drinks”, “Make me feel”, “Take me or leave me” sounded, among other songs. There was also time to rock: he sang and played the electric guitar. His show closed with “Acariciame” and at that precise moment a light rain began to fall in La Macarena.
At 10:40 pm it was the turn of one of the most anticipated artists of the night. The Mexican Daniela Romo, one of the great divas and stars of romantic music. It was the first time that he performed live in a massive concert in Colombia, he had only done it in reigns and some television programs.

“It gives me a lot of emotion because many years ago I did not set foot on Colombian land or Medellín, my memories are from when I was young and they are from the warmth of the people here. Thank you for allowing me to be with you and for you following such a long time, ”she said.
He had four costume changes. First, a black satin blouse and pants of the same color, with which she sang “The power of love”, “Jealousy”, Lies “and” Poor secretary “. Then she changed and came out with a red dress and feathers on her shoulders, so she made the attendees dance with the theme “Let the firefighters come.”
Romo’s third outing was in a black suit with which he alluded to the mariachis of his countrys and with whom he performed “De me enamorate”. For “I don’t ask you for the Moon” she put on a red cotton sack. Loose hair, always. At the end of his presentation, some fans approached the stage with banners, records and photographs for him to autograph. And they did it.

Around 1:00 am, and following more than 30 years without appearing in Colombia, Emmanuel came out, with an iridescent suit, to sing his greatest hits on a stage where the lights and visuals were the perfect complement to the 68-year-old Mexican artist’s show. He was accompanied by 14 musicians.
“If we want peace we have to open the doors to the heart. Colombia is incredible, wonderful”, were some of the words said by the interpreter of “I want to sleep tired”, “Poor devil”, “The girl with smoke”, “Beautiful lady”, “Stop her now”, among others.
This appointment with the nostalgic people of Medellín ended at 3:30 am with the Spanish Lorenzo Santamaría, who with a short but very intimate show, reminded that romantic music will continue to be more alive than ever.
