O WhatsApp remains the most popular messaging application in Brazil — as it is in countries like India, for example. One of the coolest things regarding its main competitor, Telegram, is the possibility of using the same account on multiple devices.

Now, a long time later, Meta Messenger is finally making this available to its users. In that case, you can use it with up to four smartphones at the same time independently. Even so, end-to-end encryption is still present – which guarantees the same security already present there.

Despite being a function that will be released gradually, we will show you how you can do this as soon as it is available to you. Check out! ????

First of all, install WhatsApp on the other device you want to use your account on. Then, on your other device, open the messenger do the following:

  • On iPhones: tap the “Settings” tab and go to Connected Devices » Connect a Device.
  • Em Androids: tap the button represented by three dots and go to “Connected devices”. Then choose “Connect a device”.

Then, on the other device, tap “Agree and Continue” and then “Connect device to an existing account”. Enter the code used to unlock your device or use biometric authentication (such as Face ID or Touch ID) and scan the QR code on the other device.

It is good to be aware that, if the main device is inactive for a long period of time, your account will be automatically disconnected from all other devices where the login has been made.

That’s good news, especially for those who have multiple devices (including Androids and iPhones). ????
