“Red Bull Racing Secures 96th Formula 1 Victory with Perez Leading Verstappen – Latest News & Updates”

2023-04-30 19:53:26

Red Bull Racing has clinched its 96th victory in Formula 1, it is the 25th double victory for the racing team from Milton Keynes, England. RBR hasn’t lost a race following Brazil 2022 and George Russell’s triumph!

The astonishing thing regarding three double wins in four races: the Mexican Sergio Pérez was ahead twice in the 1-2, in Jeddah and now in Baku.

The lead of world champion and championship leader Max Verstappen on “Checo” is still six points, and Sky GP expert Ralf Schumacher recognizes clouds on the horizon.

The 47-year-old German says regarding the relationship between the Mexican and the Dutchman: “It’s difficult, and from my point of view it’s clear that the Verstappen side wants a new teammate. I hear these rumors everywhere.”

In May 2022, Pérez received a new two-year contract, so the deal expires in 2024.

The six-time GP winner Ralf Schumacher continues: “I see it as a problem that Pérez knows – his time at Red Bull Racing will expire. He’s fighting for his chance to play up front, to win, to have a say in the title.”

“It stays like this: the teammate is always the biggest competitor. And who knows what possibilities there will be later. You can see from Lewis Hamilton how fast it goes.”

“That’s why Sergio is now becoming more selfish and as far as selfishness goes, Max Verstappen can’t complain. Max does it very well, he’s rightly number 1 on the team, but he also clearly defines his territory. Being his team-mate is certainly not easy – I certainly wouldn’t have wanted to be.”
