Was it the event release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that prompted publishers to review their schedule by fleeing May like the plague? Nintendo Switch releases are indeed few this month, but you will still find something to entertain you between two dives in Hyrule.
The Legend of Zelda : Tears of the Kingdom
What can we say that hasn’t already been said around the long-awaited release of the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild? Before even knowing if, yes or no, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will leave an even more vivid imprint in the history of video games, we can say without going too far no one will take the risk of missing out on such an event. Because this sequel promises to be even more ambitious, extending the discovery of the world beyond the skies by inviting us to explore celestial islands that it will be possible to reach at any time from dry land.
As for Link’s new powers, they promise mountains and wonders in terms of the game system, if only through the possibility of merging any objects together to create completely crazy inventions. Nintendo seems to have heard the lament of players who were already doubling their ingenuity in Breath of the Wild to overcome the limits of the game. This time, all the tools will be in our hands to allow us to go where even the developers don’t. may not have dared to surrender. Add to that the pronounced verticality of the adventure, the tenfold movement capacities of the character and all the secrets that Nintendo has managed to hide from us so far, and you get a title that is likely to occupy us for an almost infinite time…

Lego 2K Drive
Want to know what an “AAA driving adventure game” is? So dive into the racing hell of Lego 2K Drive, available on May 19 on Switch but also on other game media. Imagined as the unlikely fusion of a Forza Horizon with an episode of Mario Kart, this title saw the teams of 2K and LEGO join forces to reinvent the concept of the racing game in an open world. On the program: a good dose of humor on delirious circuits, playable in solo and multiplayer (online up to 6 players or 2 locally). Incorporating a real scripted Story mode, this amazing title is full of varied challenges in environments that are, to say the least, unexpected.
Important precision, the time spent in your garage will allow you to handle no less than 1000 LEGO pieces to design the craziest machines from your imagination. The real attraction of the title also lies in the possibility of seeing these vehicles transform at will to adapt in real time to the vagaries of the circuits. A concept that lends itself well to the open world aspect of this software which does not lack optional tests to keep us as long as possible in the meanders of Bricklandia.

Trinity Trigger
Trinity Trigger is a bit like the new generation Secret of Mana that we would have dreamed of seeing on our current machines. Designed by some big names in Japanese action-RPGs who have worked on many titles in the genre (Xenoblade, Secret of Mana, Octopath Traveler or even Pokemon), this software designed for simultaneous 3-player games includes beautiful 2D animated cutscenes. As a Warrior of Chaos in the service of the Gods, the hero named Cyan will have to face his destiny bravely alongside his companions Elise and Zantis.
To get out of it, they will have to surround yourself with creatures called Triggers capable of transforming into magic weapons. Ideally, the adventure can be traveled with three players locally, but the solo mode is authorized and allows you to juggle freely between the protagonists. Each dungeon full of puzzles symbolizes a fallen weapon belonging to the Gods and our heroes will have to regularly seek the advice of the inhabitants of Trinitia to progress in their quest. The weapon wheel also strongly refers to the Mana series, the objective being to target the weakness of each type of enemy by choosing the most appropriate Trigger.

Dokapon Kingdom Connect
If they were legion not so long ago, party games have been a little less popular lately on consoles. But with the arrival of Dokapon Kingdom Connect exclusively on Nintendo Switch, a series well known to Japanese players is back in our country. Playable up to 4 participants, both online and locally, Dokapon Kingdom Connect is the latest in a series that debuted on the Super Famicom (the Japanese Super Nintendo) before being ported to Wii and PS2 in 2010 in Dokapon Kingdom.
This new version is therefore in a way the remake of this party game which combines the formula of an RPG with that of a board game in a fantasy universe particularly colorful. In order to restore the country’s economy, you will have to help the king repel all kinds of monsters to, perhaps, win the hand of the princess. The adventure takes place on a game board through 5 different modes that will send you to the four corners of the kingdom. It’s up to you to choose your class among the 11 offered and never forget that money is the sinews of war.
