“EDVANTIS Higher Education Group expands with new acquisition of Com’Sup”

Less than ten months following having acquired ARTCOM’SUP, the School of Design, the ISGA Group (Higher Institute of Engineering and Business) is regarding to do it once more with Com’Sup. With this new acquisition, the Group, baptized “EDVANTIS Higher Education Group” since its merger with ARTCOM’SUP, is thus pursuing its development and hybridization strategy announced a little over a year ago.

The Competition Council has been notified of the acquisition by ISGA Casablanca (Higher Institute of Engineering and Business), of 100% of the shares and voting rights of the company Com’Sup, active in higher education private and specialized in training relating to the communication professions, we learn from a press release from the competition policeman.

Last July, the ISGA Group, active in private higher education through training in the management and engineering professions, acquired 65% of the capital of ARTCOM’SUP Casablanca and Rabat and exchanged the remaining 35% for a minority stake of the Benabdeljalil and Lazrak families, founders of ARTCOM’SUP, in the new grouping, baptized EDVANTIS Higher Education Group. The same source also notifies the parties concerned to make their observations known no later than May 2.

Today, with this future deal, EDVANTIS Higher Education Group will be made up of ISGA School of Engineering, ISGA School of Management, ARTCOM’SUP School of Design and Com’Sup.

Last November, AfricInvest, a leader in pan-African private equity and the current President of the new EDVANTIS Higher Education group, Tawhid Chtioui, an entrepreneur in the field of higher education, took 80% of the ISGA Group from its historic shareholder ( the Diouri family), in order to endow one of the oldest private higher education schools in Morocco with a new ambition and an innovative educational project. As a reminder, the ISGA was at the time the last private higher education school for engineers in Morocco to pass under the foreign flag.

Nine months later, a new strategic plan “IMPACTS 2026”, with an ambitious investment plan of 80 million dirhams, was launched around 4 main axes: Hybridization, Internationalization, Innovation, Responsibility and territorial anchoring. After the complete renovation of its campuses in Casablanca, Rabat, Fez and Marrakech, the launch of a new digital roadmap, the signing of 40 new partnerships with companies and 10 new international academic agreements, the recruitment of 11 new professors permanent in innovative fields, the group materializes its hybridization strategy by integrating design with engineering and management.
