War in Sudan: Nationals of several African countries benefit from evacuation operations organized by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Begun from the first moments of the war in Sudan, the evacuation operations organized by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its citizens and nationals of other countries continue. Indeed, according to the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 20 Saudi citizens evacuated from Sudan arrived today April 29, 2023 in the city of Jeddah. The number of nationals of other countries who were evacuated reached regarding 1866 people from several countries including African countries.

These nationals come from Thailand, Australia, Rwanda, Gambia, Eritrea, Malawi, Macedonia, France, India, Norway, Palestine, Yemen, United States, Syria, Philippines, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Sweden, Kenya, Tunisia, Iraq, Libya, Morocco , Jordan, Mauritania, Tanzania, Iran, Pakistan, Canada, Russia, Panama, Ecuador, Ireland, Greece, Vietnam, Nepal, Bosnia Herzegovina, South Sudan, Somalia, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Burundi, Myanmar, Indonesia, Tajikistan, Mongolia, Turkey, Italy, Ethiopia, Chad, Germany, South Africa, Uganda, Liberia, Namibia, Sierra Leone, United Kingdom, Belgium, Benin, Netherlands, Egypt, Sudan, Mauritius, Romania and some number of United Nations personnel.

They were transported by one of the ships belonging to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Amanah) in order to facilitate their return to their countries of origin.

As a reminder, the total number of people evacuated from Sudan since the beginning of the evacuation operations is regarding 4879 people including 139 Saudi citizens and 4738 people of 96 nationalities.
