The Party of Hope for National Development (PEDN), held its weekly general meeting this Saturday, April 29, 2023. The president of the said party, Lansana Kouyaté, took the opportunity to speak on the withdrawal of the Forces Vives of Guinea negotiations with the government.
“The living forces have their say, but in a simple and direct way. The country does not move forward with a Damocles sword on its head. They (FVG editor’s note) decided today to break with the religious and the Pm, and this despite the efforts of the facilitators and Bernard Goumou. Know that I was surprised to hear this news,” hammered the former prime minister.
For Lansana Kouyaté, dialogue must go beyond the transition itself. For him, even in a normal regime, there must be dialogue. And that doesn’t just require that he have a mediator, because he says: “Foreseeing is easy, but preventing is very difficult. Even if I don’t know the full content of the meeting that took place between them, the only thing I know is that the government made efforts to get them to come. And the last report from the PM, he told us that the first obstacles are being removed one following the other and that gave me a lot of assurance and that finally we will meet around the table. We want that. Only God knows who will be president, so we have to go quickly, but also slowly. »
