The homeownership rate reaches almost 54% for couples with children, and almost 50% for couples without children. This is more than at the Swiss level: these figures stand respectively at approximately 46 and 49%.
In total, 41.4% of housing in the canton of Friborg is owner-occupied, compared to only 36.3% at the Swiss level. Most often, the constructions concerned are individual villas (60.3%).
Cheaper rents
People from Friborg and people from Friborg who live alone make up the largest proportion of tenants (68%), this is slightly lower than the national level (71%). At 1266 francs, monthly rents are on average 127 francs cheaper than the Swiss average. This figure does not include charges.
