The XI International Congress of Nuclear and Molecular Medicine, the most important in the country in the branch and in which nuclear medicine and radiology are the prevailing issues, addressed from different areas, was inaugurated on the night of Thursday, April 27 in Puerto Morelos.

“This is the most important nuclear medicine congress in the country, it brings together its best specialists and the most important commercial houses and in the commercial area they will see the latest technology in nuclear medicine and radiology,” specified Dr. José Cervera Ceballos, general director of tomographic and molecular imaging and head of the imaging radiology services at Amerimed hospitals.

With the participation of doctors, technicians and speakers, the congress will leave a significant income for Puerto Morelos, close to 5 million pesos in a week and bringing together 250 professionals in the field.

Explore the scope of nuclear medicine

It is an annual congress, attended by practically all nuclear medicine doctors in the country and some from abroad, who address different topics focused on oncology, cardiology, ischemia, heart attacks and neurology, cases such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.

“Today we are here stronger and more united to live a memorable experience during these four days, we will continue advancing in the use and application of new research, where the best in the world will share their experience and knowledge with us; today Quintana Roo is our home and we have taken care of every detail to make this congress a great story”, Gisela Estrada Sánchez, president of the Mexican Federation of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, shared.

The venue for the event was the Dreams Now Jade hotel, in Puerto Morelos, and was attended by state officials such as Flavio Carlos Rosado, Secretary of Health of Quintana Roo; sponsors, doctors and members of the Mexican Federation of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, as well as the president of the SNMMI Molecular Imaging 2018-2019, Satoshi Minoshima.

The congress left an important income for Puerto Morelos, close to five million pesos in one week and brought together 250 professionals from the field.
