The necessary municipal council resolution was passed unanimously in March. The net costs for the project are around 320,000 euros. The system is installed by the city’s own Energie Ried. “The installation and commissioning should take place in the current fiscal year,” says Energie-Ried Managing Director Friedrich Pöttinger.
According to Ried’s ÖVP mayor Bernhard Zwielehner, a similarly large PV system is planned for the municipal building yard. In general, precise evaluations are currently being carried out to determine which buildings owned by the municipality can have PV systems installed on them.
