AvtoVAZ named price for Lada Granta with 16-valve engine

AvtoVAZ started selling Lada Granta with 16-valve 106 hp engines. According to the press service of the company, such a unit is available for a car in a sedan, liftback and station wagon Cross.
Prices for a car with a 16-valve engine start at 865,500 rubles. For this money, the client will receive a sedan in the Comfort version with two airbags, heated front seats, air conditioning and an audio system.
The VAZ-21127 atmospheric engine, which is installed on the Lada Granta, has a volume of 1.6 liters and a power of 106 hp. Torque – 148 Nm. Fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 6.5 l/100 km.
“A feature of this motor is in the variable volume intake module: special flaps change the configuration of the intake manifold depending on engine speed. Due to this, the torque increases in the low-speed range, which improves the dynamics of acceleration and increases the elasticity of the engine, ”explained at AvtoVAZ.
The production of the 16-valve engine was stopped in 2022 following the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions. There were many foreign components in the power unit, the production of which had to be established in Russia.
Also, a Lada Granta car can be purchased with an 8-valve engine of the same volume. The power of this motor is 90 hp. The recommended retail prices for the “Grant” with such a unit in the basic version start at 678,300 rubles. Thus, Lada Granta is currently the most affordable model on the Russian market. However, the cost of the car at dealers may be higher.
The Lada Granta car leaves the assembly line of the Togliatti plant in the so-called simplified version – without ABS and with an ERA-GLONASS mechanical button, but with air conditioning and two airbags.
According to the Association of European Businesses, in the first quarter of this year, domestic AvtoVAZ remains the leader of the domestic market, having sold 64,240 new cars, which is 22% more than a year earlier.
As for individual models, the first place among the bestsellers was traditionally taken by Lada Granta. For three months, the Russians bought 44,416 of these cars. For example, a year ago, 15,179 Lada Grantas were sold on our market. In second place is Lada Niva, which sold 18,006 copies once morest 9,307 SUVs a year earlier.
