A 21-year-old suspect was arrested in connection with the arson attack that ravaged an unoccupied garage in Lévis on April 16, causing extensive damage.

About thirty firefighters had been deployed near the building located on the boulevard Guillaume-Couture, in the middle of the followingnoon. It took just under two hours to extinguish the flames.

Although the premises of the building remained intact, the Chief of Operations of the Lévis Fire Department had indicated that the garage part was a total loss.
An investigation by the Service de police de la Ville de Lévis (SPVL) then determined that it was an arson attack.
The presumed responsible for the blaze, a 21-year-old man, was finally arrested in the last hours. He should appear at the Quebec courthouse in the morning on Friday.
