A bus overturned on the national highway in Anzoátegui left one dead and at least 21 people injured on the night of this Thursday, April 27.
The traffic accident occurred on the road between El Tigre and Cantaura, at the height of Tank Farm.
The fatality was identified as Marcos Antonio Rondón Cárdenas, the newspaper El Tigrense published.
The transport unit would have overturned and impacted with a fence of the oil headquarters facilities known as the tank farm.
Unofficially, it was learned that teachers from Bolívar state were traveling on board the bus, bound for Caracas.
Anzoátegui Civil Protection officials and police commissions went to the scene of the accident.
According to what was reported by the local newspaper, five people only had abrasions and their identities are not known.
The rest of the injured are: Nelson Bastardo, 55 (bus driver), Yennibel Figuera (36), Yaned Mogollón (41), Jania Peña (42), Anni Quintana (48), Luis Hernández (53) and Kerli Briceño. (39).
Also Ramona Rodríguez (55), Liorimar Rodríguez (46), Marielis Bolívar (46), Beatriz Redondo (59), Zuleima González (52), Endosia Barreto (51), Levis Molina (52), Bárbara de Freites (46) and Brenda Jaramillo (48), all teachers.
Eight of them were transferred to the Héctor Farías Hospital, three to the Santa Rosa Clinic and one to the San Tomé Industrial Hospital. The rest remain in Hospital Dr. Felipe Guevara Rojas
It transpired that some have a delicate condition and need to be operated.
The Minister of Education, Yelitze Santaella, would be informed of what happened and ordered that they be treated or transferred to other private health centers if necessary.
