“Fire Breaks Out in Seven-Storey Apartment Building in Bressoux: Latest Updates and Details”

This Thursday, at the end of the followingnoon around 3:45 p.m., a fire broke out in a seven-storey apartment building located at number 59, quai Roi Albert in Bressoux, right next to the Aldi store. The fire is said to have started in the kitchen on the fifth floor from which smoke was emerging when the firefighters arrived.

The police also came to the scene. Two people were poisoned by the fumes: one, stuck on the balcony on the seventh floor, was transported to a hospital in the region. The other, bedridden on the sixth floor, was able to return to his apartment later.

The wharf was closed to traffic from the Bressoux bridge until the emergency services intervened. Significant traffic jams were therefore recorded at the end of the followingnoon in Liège. Motorists coming from the Bonaparte quay were sent back to the Bressoux bridge or to Bressoux to continue their journey towards the E25. Rue du Quai was also closed at its junction with Quai du Roi Albert.
