Paul Wight is excited to get back in the ring.
The AEW star and former WWE and WCW World Champion discussed this topic during a recent appearance on the show Deuce and Mo. Wight says he is recovering from his hip replacement surgery and feels better than he has in over ten years. He adds that he has two years left on his contract with AEW and plans to honor them. Work hard, train hard to get back in the ring, which hopefully will happen very soon. I had a hip replacement and just had a knee replacement in August, which feels like the end of an athlete’s career, but modern technology, I’ll tell you, I feel better on the articular plane than I have felt in the past 15 years.
He says he has regarding two years left and plans to fulfill his contract with Tony Khan:
Now it’s all regarding building muscle and having a little more fun. I have a few years left in AEW for sure, I signed a good healthy contract when I arrived and I plan to fulfill that contract in AEW for Tony Khan and myself.
In another interview, Wight revealed that he spent 11 weeks in a wheelchair following his hip replacement surgery.
