“Women can slip their redons into it, explains Marie-Hélène Manguin, the originator of the initiative. These little containers that are used to drain all the secretions that may be in the wound.” Often, patients use a basket, which is much heavier to carry on a daily basis. “This bag is worn on the arm, continues the manager of a couture café in Peyre, but it can also be attached to the bed or to the IV pole.”
The lovely bag has a strap that is larger than the other, to attach it easily.
The little hands worked in the middle of the La Foire aux Tissus store, in a friendly atmosphere. “We stand together, smiled Marie-Therese. Because we all know friends who have had surgery. And, who knows, maybe we too will one day…”
The creation is not very technical, but it must meet precise dimensions and be made with cotton, exclusively. “We, for the lining, we use old sheets given to us by the Millau hospital”, explains Marie-Hélène Manguin.
