The Neuquén and Río Negro Energy teams will meet with their peers from the portfolio at the national level due to the recent decision of the Government to restore the dams to national status when the hydroelectric concessions end. The meeting takes place this Thursday. and it emerges from a “joint” work between both provinces.

It was confirmed by the governor of Neuquén, Omar Gutiérrez, through a publication on his Twitter account. It will be for «address recent decisions around the future of dams on the Limay and Neuquén rivers.

“Thanks to the joint work that we have carried out with the government of Río Negro, I want to inform you that Tomorrow, Thursday, April 27, a work meeting will be held to address the recent decisions regarding the future of our dams on the Limay and Neuquén rivers,” the governor had advanced.

The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Neuquén, Alejandro Monteirothe Secretary of Energy of Río Negro, Andrew Borders and the Secretary of National Energy, Flavia Royon.

Last week, during his visit to Neuquén to participate in an energy congress, Royón had advanced the official decision to let the hydroelectric concessions in the hands of private companies expire for the State to resume its operation.
