The Communist Party of Austria (KPO) won the provincial elections held in Vienna Austria on the 23rd. For the first time since 1949, Salzburg was represented in the State Assembly. History was created by winning four out of 36 seats. Five years ago, the front led by the party won only 1,000 votes (0.4 per cent), this time it won 11.7 per cent.
