May 1st is ideal for the Maypole Festival this year: Because the holiday falls on a Monday, the celebrations last the entire weekend.
As reported, Wels is already celebrating on April 29th. In Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting, too, the sports club put up the maypole on Saturday.
On Sunday, the Mistelbach Volunteer Fire Department is celebrating: at 10.30 a.m. the morning pint begins with music from the Buchkirchen Music Association. At 1:00 p.m., the effort begins to set up the tree by hand. From 2 p.m. there will be live music from the band “The Vitamins”. If it rains, the organizers have put up a marquee. Proceeds will go toward the renovation of the fire station.
In Eferding, the maypole is traditionally erected at 10 a.m. on May 1st. As in previous years, the Eferding Krampus tour Schaunburgteufeln organizes a festival for the whole family with music, food and drinks. Here, too, if the weather doesn’t cooperate, you can celebrate in the tent.
