In the first set the Russian won 7:6 (9:7), and in the second set the Japanese beat him 6:3. In the third set, Watanuki won 7-6 (7-3) and advanced to the next round of eliminations. In it, he will face the Frenchman Corentin Moutet (64th ATP).
