Nearly 383,000 Hydro-Quebec customers are without electricity almost everywhere in Quebec, according to the government corporation’s website.
Hydro-Quebec has indicated that there has been a “loss of production on the network, which has not been identified at this time. An investigation is underway. According to the latest report, the Montreal region would be the most affected with 135,141 customers affected. The regions of Montérégie (126,452), Capitale-Nationale (586), Laurentides (44,611) and Laval (43,890) follow.
Several traffic lights are not working in Montreal, forcing a large mobilization of police personnel.
