The Jalisco Secretary of Education, through a statement on Facebook, reported that classes in basic, middle and higher education schools will continue with activity.
This despite the atmospheric alert issued yesterday by the Ministry of the Environment and Territorial Development (Semadet) for different forest fires near the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area.
The post of the SE highlights the following: “In accordance with the recommendations of the authority on environmental matters, derived from the forest fires registered in Tala, Zapopan and Guadalajara, Face-to-face classes are maintained, following the indications to take care of health, given the atmospheric alert and we remain attentive to new provisions”explains the state agency.
In addition, they added that students with respiratory diseases who do not show up for classes will be excused for the absence. They also shared the design or canvas of the atmospheric alert with the following recommendations:
- Forbidden to carry out any type of burning
- Reduce outdoor activities
- Avoid exposure to pollutants
- Close doors and windows
- Keep children and older adults and people with respiratory illnesses indoors
For its part, the Semadet air quality index, updated at 7:00 a.m., reports extremely poor air quality at the Las Águilas station, and the maximum level recorded is 111 IMECA points at the Santa Fe station with poor quality. .
