AFP journalists reported that Emmanuel Macron was greeted by a concert of pans this Tuesday followingnoon in Vendôme (Loir-et-Cher), where several hundred demonstrators were kept away from the presidential visit.

Several hundred people opposing the pension reform, armed with saucepans, cans and trumpets, had gathered along a railway line near the nursing home in the middle of the day, for their “casserolade”. .
Bruno Vivien, retired from metallurgy, came with his little bugle. “It’s to wake up our president, so that he stops making fun of us,” he told an AFP correspondent.
