After holding the training in styling on April 10 and the start of that in saponification, the NGO Force des femmes launched the training in hairdressing this Monday, April 24, 2023, for around twenty young ladies.
On the sidelines of the execution of its annual plan and the 5th edition of the 48 Hours of Guinean Women, the Women’s Force intends to equip 20 young women working in hairdressing through this workshop and facilitate their empowerment. Mariama Daff, Miss Guinea France 2017 and President of the NGO Force des femmes returned to the vision of the workshop.
“Our priority vision is to support these young women through training and coaching that we have put in place to facilitate their better professional and entrepreneurial integration in the country,” she said.
To facilitate the professional integration of these women into working life, the NGO requested support from the Department of Small and Medium Enterprises and Local Content. It was in the premises of this department that this workshop was held. Mamadou Diao Diallo Deputy National Director has promised to provide all technical and administrative support to young girls and women in their empowerment and the creation of their future businesses.
Further, Mariama Daff adds: “We expect from this SME department, the provision of seasoned technicians who can assist us in training, but also financial support for the materialization of our projects”.
Mahawa Souaré Josianne, graduated in hairdressing in several American and European countries, intends during these two days to bring the maximum of her know-how to these young women. For this, it declines the phases of the training planned for 2 days.
According to Josiane, the first will be devoted to exchanges and sharing of experience, and to teach them how to make a wig from start to finish.
“That is to say, how to assemble and sell it like an expert and for that, you have to know your product. That they master the different types of laces, how to enhance a lace or devalue it, how to control the dimensions of the lace and reduce it”.
During the second and last day (tomorrow April 25, 2023), it will be a question of putting into practice the knowledge acquired during the first, in order to allow them to have a perfect mastery of the module.
An evening of presentation of satisfaction to the participants of these various training sessions is planned in the coming days. This ceremony will allow the meeting between development actors and beneficiaries with the goal of potential accompanying measures in the realization of their project.
