Amritpal Singh is the self-proclaimed leader of the Waris Punjab De organization, describing himself as the successor of Khalistan separatist leader Bhindranwale. Within eight months, it was within reach.

Amritpal, a member of a wealthy Jat Sikh business family of Jallu Khera, was suddenly in the news for his separatist views. After Sindhu’s accidental death, Amritpal took over Waris Punjab De, an organization founded by actor Deep Sindhu to protect the rights and heritage of Punjab. In September, he declared himself as the head of the organization in Rod village, which is also Bhidranwale’s native village. Khalistan nationalism was openly raised. Amritpal, who did not wear the traditional Sikh turban when he lived in countries like Dubai, Canada and the UK, later tried to become Bhindranwale 2.0 by dressing up as a Sikh. It is also alleged that a large amount of money and drugs were poured in to attract the youth.

and the National Security Act

Half a dozen cases have been registered once morest Amritpal Singh under the National Security Act, Sedition Act and Arms Prohibition Act. A case of kidnapping, assault, intimidation and other offenses was first registered once morest Amritpal and others on February 16. On the 24th, the Ajnala police station attack was charged with attempted murder. There is also a case of hitting other vehicles while being chased by the police on March 18. There is also a case under Arms Prohibition Act.
