About fifty members of the Générations Mouvement club took part in a themed meal at the Calmette farm-inn near Caplongue. The restaurant is located in a typical farmhouse of the region. The elders enjoyed the famous pascade, a specialty of the place, as well as the rest of the menu: vegetables, stuffed cabbage, chicken, potatoes, etc. After the meal, restaurant owner Noémie gave a tour of the craft brewery and some were able to buy La Calmettoise beer, produced on site with barley from the farm.
Other meetings are scheduled for May: Thursday May 11, at 2 p.m.: departmental “Dicos d’Or” competition, organized in Durenque. Registration on 05 65 46 12 26 HR or on the form at the foyer (€2 for the snack).
Wednesday May 24, exit in Carcassonne. 7 am, departure from Réquista under the hall near the post office. 10.30 a.m.: little train in the medieval city. 11 a.m.: guided tour of the city to discover the outer fortifications, the Lices and the Basilica of Saint-Nazaire. 12:30 p.m.: meal. 3.30 p.m.: cruise on the Canal du Midi. Return to Réquista: around 6 p.m.
