During noon this Saturday, family, friends, colleagues and classmates Guillermo Calabrese they approached the cemetery of Pilar to say the last goodbye to the 61-year-old cook who passed away in the early hours of last Friday.
According to what sources from the City Police indicated, the renowned chef and television host of programs such as Qué mañana! and the best known, Argentine cooks, broke down in the early morningaround 3:15, which is why her daughter called the Emergency Medical Care System (SAME).
Upon arrival at the scene, medical personnel found that Calabrese had suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest non-traumatic and proceeded to perform the first corresponding maneuvers, but following several attempts, they failed to revive him.
After hearing the sad news, friends and colleagues of the experienced chef quickly expressed their pain and publishedin their social networks, different tributes and recognitions to “Cala”, as it had been affectionately baptized.
Finally, this Saturday, at noon, the burial of the culinary expert was held in the cemetery of the city of Pilar, where they gathered your family, friends and also co-workers.
Among them, they were present to say goodbye to him Daniel Gómez Rinaldi y Maia Cracra, both members of the cycle that Calabrese conducted from Monday to Friday on the El Nueve screen. Three of the chef’s colleagues were also approached during his time at Argentine cooksthe program of Public Television, as John Ferrara, Ximena Saenz and John Braceli.
The ceremony, which began at 9 a.m. and lasted until around 1 p.m., included a moment behind closed doors for the cook’s relatives and a brief wake followingwards, with which his remains were finally bid farewell.
From medicine to cooking, non-stop
Guillermo Calabrese was born on October 5, 1961 and in tune with his last name, he grew up in a family originally from Sicily, Italy. After finishing his secondary studies, he enrolled in Medicine, but at the age of 25, disenchanted with the university, decided to leave it and approached the renowned chef Carlos “Gato” Dumaswhom he asked to be his disciple.
