Jake Gagne took pole position in the MotoAmerica Superbike at Road Atlanta this Saturday.
The best times were yesterday in the first qualifying session. Gagne (Fresh N Lean Progressive Yamaha) was by far the quickest, setting the best lap of 1’23.453, beating Cameron Beaubier (Tytlers Cycle Racing/BMW).
an impressive 0.928 seconds to overtake.
No one else was a second away from Gagne. Third-placed Cameron Petersen was 1.089s off his teammate, with Matthew Scholtz (Westby Racing LLC/Yamaha) fourth. Scholtz was even fastest in the second qualifying session, but didn’t improve on his Q1 record

Completing the top five was PJ Jacobsen (Vision Wheel M4 Ecstar Suzuki) ahead of Josh Herrin (Warhorse HSBK Ducati NYC). He was the strongest player to improve his time between Q1 and Q2.
