The “Art N Help” campaign received the support of many celebrities, including the artist Angy El-Moqaddam, the artist Dana Hamdan, the artist Hind Abdel Halim, the journalist Hisham Asi, the YouTuber Ahmed Nasr, Eid Nasr, Kenzi Madbouly, Iman Sobhi, and the content creator Samar Al-Abbasi.
Relieve stress and pain with art
Dr. Hayat Badr also emphasized that the campaign puts art in its true position and raises its value, and helps relieve pressures and pains created by states of anxiety, fear and depression. Through the efforts of students and with science and art, one can contribute to affirming the values of mental health, noting that these efforts have already paid off. The students were admired and appreciated by several parties, and the students were able to obtain sponsorships and support from important institutions for their project and idea, which indicates that the campaign will eventually become a milestone in society.
For her part, Menna Hisham, a student in the fourth year at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University and participating in the project, explained that they seek through the campaign to help the individual live in better mental health, stressing that there are many myths regarding art therapy that the campaign aims to correct, as well as clarifying what Correct art therapy, as it can be an effective tool that achieves peace and psychological balance for the individual, which reflects positively on society, which is what the Art N help campaign seeks.
Cancer treatment institutions cooperation
She explained that the campaign’s cooperation with cancer treatment institutions such as Baheya and Hospital 57357 was an inspiration to the team members, as art that can alleviate the suffering of cancer fighters can actually help other individuals to face the challenges of life.
Student Manar Sabry, who also participated in the project, stated that the number of participants is 21 students, all of whom work to present the idea in the best possible way, noting that the audience’s interaction with the campaign is very promising and is a motivation for them to present more and more: “The therapeutic power of art in all its forms can be a real helper.” For different individuals, of all ages, and there is interaction from the elderly with the campaign and it was one of the promising signs for the team.
It is noteworthy that the campaign has already held a number of special events, with the aim of spreading the idea, such as the participation of project students in student events and activities. The campaign also received support from the Ministries of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Culture and the Egyptian Clothing Bank, in addition to Baheya Hospital and Hospital 57357, and a center specialized in providing various treatment workshops. art, and a large number of private libraries and installations.
