As previously announced, the President of the Transition, Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya performed the Eid el-Fitr prayer near the city of Karamoko Alpha mo Labé, this Friday, April 21, 2023.
Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya and several members of the transitional government shared this moment of joy and prayer with the people of Labé. The First Imam of the holy city did not fail to point out at the start of his oath the joy and the honor granted to Labé by the highest authorities of the country.
“It is a great joy for us and for all of Guinea. It is not only Fouta or only Labé. The President of the Republic, His Excellency Colonel Mamadi Doumoubouya has given us the great honor of communing with us, praying with us and at our home in Fouta Djallon. Look at what Islam is (This translates the greatness of Islam, editor’s note). The President of the Republic is seated there like all the other faithful. That’s Islam. We pray to God to guide us on the right path. God is Great,” said the Grand Imam of Labé Elhadj Badrou BAH.
The Ministers of Security, Health, Posts and Telecommunications, the Secretary General to the Presidency, the High Commander of the National Gendarmerie, as well as that of the Territorial Administration were present in Labé alongside the President of the Transition .
