Las Termas welcomes the best Beach Volleyball players from South America

With the presence of provincial and municipal authorities and the organization, the opening ceremony of the fifth date of the South American Beach Volleyball at the House of Culture of the Bicentennial of Las Termas de Río Hondo, contest that will take place until April 23, at the Sports Center of the tourist city.

On the occasion were the Secretary of Sports Carlos Dapello; the undersecretary of Tourism, Nelson Bravo; the mayor of Las Termas, Jorge Mukdise; the delegates, from the South American Volleyball Confederation, Jorge Pino Madrid; and of the Argentine Volleyball Federation (FEVA), Martin Medina; the promoter of this sporting event, Sergio Foti and the head of the Santiagueña Volleyball Association, Emilia Acuña, among other authorities from the local municipality.

As will be remembered, the representatives of ten countries participate in the transcendental competition. They are male and female representatives from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru and Bolivia.

In his speech, Pino Madrid conveyed to those present the greetings of the authorities of the South American Volleyball Confederation and highlighted the contest by stating that “as a Federation it fills us with pride to have more dates and what better way to finish than in this city”.

In this sense, he stressed that “the province has an important level of organization because it has already been the venue for major international competitions and that during these days it will have the best beach volleyball with the best exponents in the region.”

He also explained that this competition is important because it allows them to score points for the Olympic Games and to climb the world ranking.

In turn, Mukdise expressed his satisfaction at receiving representatives of “brother countries of Latin America” ​​in the city of Spa and added that “this is a land of meetings and we always like to receive delegations from different sports.”

On behalf of the Governor Gerardo Zamora, Dapello welcomed the delegations from the different countries and wished the participants to “enjoy our main tourist destination, have a nice experience and have a good competition.”

Then he made special emphasis on the sports policy carried out by the province through which first level infrastructure was executed that allowed it to host events of international importance.

It should be noted that the official program began with free practice and technical talks, while for this Friday the full competitive activity is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Municipal Sports Center of the thermal city.
